Our first book "Maya Takes Control", was written just prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. Life became extremely hectic for us as it did for the rest of the world! The book was born out of the experiences our two daughters had during their medical visits. When Doc-Mom Shakira was faced with her own children's medical challenges, she began writing. Now that things have returned to some sort of normalcy post-pandemic, we have released our first Maya book. You will find other children stories here as well. So pull up to the childrens book stop and make your selection. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this book sales will go to charities that support pediatric cancers.
